What's the concentration of my solution?
Read the product label to know the percent of active ingredient
Choose the units of volume or mass of product added
Choose the amount of product added, based on the units of volume or mass you selected in step 2.
Choose the units for the solution being prepared
Enter the tank volume, based on the units of volume or mass you selected in step 4.
Select "No" if you are using the solution without an additional dilution step using an injector (dilutor). If using an injector, select "Yes".
If you are not using an injector (dilutor), set the dilution ratio value to 1. If you are using an injector, for example at 1:100 dilution, enter the dilution ratio (in that case 100).
Specific gravity is only relevant for liquids. It is the ratio of the mass of the material to the mass of an equal volume of water. The specific gravity of liquid water at 4C is 1.0 and its density is 1 kg/L. In many cases specific gravity for a liquid chemical or fertilizer will approximately equal 1. However, the liquid may be more or less dense than water. For example, 1 liter of 35% sulfuric acid weight 1.259 kg (denser than water), so its specific gravity is 1.259.
